Posted 1/17: Excellent reading for reflection on MLK day - "How to honor Martin Luther King Jr? Leave a Meaningful Legacy"
An excerpt: "We will all leave a legacy of some kind. So the question becomes whether it will be one of unprioritized good intentions, or one of touching lives? Will it be one of regret, or one of giving to causes close to our hearts? Will it be one of unfulfilled longing, or one of bringing light to our corner of the world? Your legacy may be only a whisper now, or perhaps you already have a sense of it and only need some support to bring it into focus and put it into action."

The Sophomore/Junior "Social" was a huge success! Thanks to all who participated and to the Friends of Rachel members for organizing the event. Though small, events like the one today help promote a positive culture and foster a sense of "togetherness" at CHS!
"Friends of Rachel" reading for December 11th meeting is chapter eight from Darrel Scott's book "Chain Reaction: A Call to Compassionate Revolution" upon which the "Rachel's Challenge" program is based.
Please feel free to read the chapter tonight, or tomorrow during SSR, as paper copies are available at CHS. -Mr. Fielder (You'll have to rotate the file clockwise to read the PDF) |

Please read the attached article ("4 questions that brought an entire high school to its knees"), which details one father's lesson in empathy for his son, and his son's team, that resonated throughout an entire high school. (Submitted by Abby Elwart).
